About
our property
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in the tranquil Balinese rice terraces with a stay at The Bamboo House. Wake up to the sound of birds chirping and take in the breathtaking view of the lush greenery and the peak of Mount Agung in the distance.
The house features an open living space with a king bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and an outdoor shower. There is a dining table and a bar table, as well as a hammock and a cuddle corner with pillows to relax. The ground floor is completely open with no doors, but it's a very safe area, and your local host, Made, is close with all the local farmers and very welcoming to guests.
Upstairs, the private master bedroom has a separate bathroom and a terrace with lounge chairs and a hanging net. The bamboo house can accommodate four people comfortably, with two king beds.
Aside from the serene environment, guests can also choose from a variety of tours and activities, including hiking through the rice terraces, white water rafting, visiting the Tirtagangga Water Palace, and more.
The house is off the grid and designed to take advantage of the natural breeze, so there is no air conditioning, but the average temperature at night in the terraces is around 21-22 degrees Celsius, providing a comfortable temperature to sleep.

It's worth noting that the house is secluded, with no shops, restaurants, ATM or mini-mart in walking distance. However, the host provides a free motorcycle for guests to explore the local areas and head into the town of Selat. Smoking is only allowed on the ground floor, and guests are encouraged to clean up after themselves to avoid attracting insects.
While the bamboo house may not be suitable for those who are scared of insects or bugs, it offers a unique opportunity to experience the real Bali, away from any tourists. Your host Made is a local resident of the village and is happy to bring guests to local ceremonies, allowing you to immerse yourself in the Balinese culture.
In summary, The Bamboo House offers a one-of-a-kind experience for travelers seeking an adventure in the heart of Bali's rice terraces. With stunning views, comfortable accommodations, and plenty of activities to choose from, it's the perfect escape for those looking to unwind and connect with nature.
